1. Who We Are

Lytepen is a Pan-African reading and writing platform. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. If anything here is unclear, write to contact@lytepen.com and our team will answer.

2. What We Collect

Your account. Your name, email address, and a password you choose — or, if you sign in with Google or Apple, the verified profile details they provide. We never see your Google or Apple credentials.

Your handle and profile. The username you pick, and optional biography, profile photo, and header artwork.

Reading and social activity. Bookmarks, passage highlights, quotes, reviews, book club messages, and reading progress so you can seamlessly continue across devices.

Payments and transactions. Wallet top-ups and micro-chapter unlocks go through our payment processor. Card details go directly to the processor and never reach our servers.

Device and analytics. Push notification tokens (if permitted) and crash reports to ensure app reliability.

3. What We Do Not Collect

We do not collect your real-time GPS location. We do not read your contact list without explicit permission, and we never sell your personal data to any third parties for advertising.

4. Infrastructure & Processors

Payment processors process transactions securely with end-to-end encryption.

Cloudflare provides encrypted hosting and global media distribution.

Sentry & PostHog provide aggregated performance telemetry and crash monitoring.

5. Your Rights & Data Deletion

You can export your reading history or delete your account at any time from the app settings. For any data inquiries, email contact@lytepen.com.
